  • December 2, 2019 – Apple iPad OS 13 is Now Supported

    Apple iPad OS 13 is now supported for online testing. Please ensure devices are updated to the latest version before testing to avoid issues encountered that were fixed by Apple in iPad OS 13.2.2+. Also, Apple recently introduced a new feature called Voice Control that must be disabled before testing. This feature is turned off by default. Guidance on how to disable this feature, if enabled, will be made available in the Technical Information folder under the Technology Coordinators card.

  • December 2, 2019 – Chrome v77 and v78 Now Supported

    AIR now officially supports Chrome versions 77 and 78 for online state testing. There are currently no known issues with these software versions.

  • AIR System Down Time: November 8–12

    The TIDE and TDS systems will be unavailable from Friday, November 8 at 5 pm to Tuesday, November 12 at 5 am. AIR will be applying updates to TIDE over the holiday weekend to align student test settings with the GTSA. Owing to the anticipate changes, it is encouraged for all paused tests to be completed and submitted by November 8. All systems are expected to be available on Tuesday, November 12, for testing to resume.

    Additionally, the TIDE template that is used for bulk uploads of student test settings will be updated during this time. We ask that districts and schools hold any bulk uploads of student test settings until November 12. After this update, the template will need to be downloaded again for bulk uploads.

  • October 9, 2019 – Updated: Interim Go-Live for 2019-20 School Year

    The Smarter Balanced Interim assessments for the 2019-20 school year are currently all available. will be available on Friday, September 20. There will be no downtime to deploy these tests. This includes the Test Administration and Test Delivery System to administer the interims, the Assessment Viewing Application (AVA) for viewing all the interims available for this school year, and the AIRWays Reporting systems to see student results. will both be available shortly.

  • August 23, 2019 – Secure Browser 10 will no longer be supported after August 31

    If you have been using Secure Browser 10 (the version used during 2018-19) for administering your ELPA21 Screeners, you will need to update your browser to the 2019-20 secure browser no later than August 31.

    The new Secure Browsers (version 12) for the 2019-20 school year are available to download from the WCAP portal at https://wa.portal.airast.org/secure-browsers.stml for installation on Windows, Mac OSX 10.9 and higher, Linux, and Chrome OS.  To avoid any delay in testing, the browser on these devices needs to be updated by September 1, 2019.  Please contact the Washington Help Desk if you have any questions.
