• September 16, 2016 – Upcoming AIR system downtime for September and October 2016

    Monthly Maintenance – The September monthly scheduled maintenance of all AIR systems (TIDE, TDS, ORS, AIR Ways, AVA and THSS) begins on Friday, September 23 at 6:00 pm.   All systems will be back online by Sunday, September 25 at 7:00 pm.  The next monthly maintenance for October will be the weekend of October 21 – 23.

    Test Delivery System (TDS) – TDS has a scheduled downtime all day on Friday, October 21 to prepare for the opening of the Fall Smarter Balanced Retake and Fall Off-Grade Level science online assessments. The test window opens on Monday, October 24.  The Smarter Balanced interim assessments will not be available during this scheduled downtime.  The Practice and Training tests will remain available during this scheduled downtime.  All other AIR systems will remain available.

  • August 30, 2016 – Upcoming Downtime and Go Live for 2016-17 Practice and Training Tests

    The Test Delivery System (TDS) will begin a scheduled downtime from Thursday, 9/8/16 at 6pm PT to Friday, 9/9/16 at 6pm PT in order to prepare for the launch of the 2016-2017 Practice and Training Tests on Monday, 9/12/16. Please note that the new practice and training tests for ELA, Math, and Science will reflect any changes made for the 2016-2017 online tests.   • August 23, 2016 – Potential brief TIDE access disruption at 4 pm today

     If you are accessing TIDE at 4 pm today you might encounter a brief interruption in your access and be exited from the system.  This is due to a deployment in the system to correct some outstanding issues.  If you do experience being logged off the system, please log back into TIDE and you will be able to access the site again.  If for some reason you are not able to log back in, please contact the WCAP Help Desk at (844) 560-7366 or

  • August 19, 2016 – Update on TIDE and ORS access for SY16-17

     TIDE opened for the school year on Monday, August 15.  Currently only one administration is showing in TIDE right now (Fall 2016), but this will not prevent the ability of schools and districts to see previous years’ score data in ORS once user accounts are created.  ORS is currently live and available for all districts and schools.

    • User accounts were removed for district and school level users from TIDE.  The rollover of user accounts in TIDE takes place to ensure that district staff actively load the current year’s users rather than preserving all accounts for users who may or may not work in their former schools and districts. This is to ensure to the greatest degree possible that school and district staff have access only to the student records that they should be able to access. A file containing a list of all users from TIDE in 2015-16 is available in WAMS Profile Downloads (, under the headings: B. 2017 Administration > 1. MSP – EOC – Smarter > TIDE Resources with the filename ‘[YourDistrict] All TIDE User Records 2016.xls’ – this file can be quickly edited to populate the TIDE User Upload template file and create accounts for any returning users once the user upload function in TIDE is once again fully operational. Refer to the recent WAW sent on August 8, for specific details under the section WCAP: Managing Credentials in TIDE And 2016-17 School Year Rollover.
    • Some districts have reported trouble uploading files into TIDE for some users.  It seems that certain email address naming conventions cause these errors and can cause an entire file to fail.  AIR is looking into this issue to resolve as soon as possible.
