  • November 18, 2016 – Support of iOS 10, New Mobile Secure Browser

AIR now officially supports iOS 10. However, when using external keyboards, the following features are not getting blocked via MDM, ASAM or Automatic Assessment mode:

    1. Spell-checker
    2. Auto-correct
    3. Predictive text

Apple is working on fixing the issue in an upcoming dot release of iOS 10. In the meantime, all of these features must be turned off in the general settings of an iOS device. Directions for disabling these features can be found in the Technical Specifications Manual. With the addition of iOS 10 as a supported version, iOS 7 will no longer be supported.

Additionally, a new mobile secure browser (version 3.4) is now available at the Apple App store for download. Version 3.4 is required for testing on all ELPA21 assessments.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the WCAP Help Desk at (844) 560-7366 or wahelpdesk@air.org.

  • November 14, 2016 – RESOLVED: Trouble with accessing the Smarter Balanced Fall Retake tests for students

Last Thursday an issue occurred in the test delivery system that prevented students in grades 10-12 from automatically receiving the Smarter Balanced grade 11 tests.  District and school staff had to go into TIDE and select Grade 11 under the ‘Off Grade’ feature for the student in the student information page in TIDE to access these tests.

This has been resolved and students in grades 10-12 are now able to automatically receive the Smarter Balanced grade 11 tests again.  Please contact the WCAP Help Desk at wahelpdesk@air.org or toll free (844) 560-7366 if you have any additional questions.
